The area of Kent County is known for being beautiful place, where over half a million people live and where there is a great deal of prosperity. Those who do not live there likely do not know anything about how there is a secret hidden in the west bank of the Grand River. The Grand River is the largest river in the state and it runs through the entire city. On the west bank of this river are what is known as burial mounds, which are where the remains of many Hopewell Indians are buried. These Native Americans made their home in this very area, due to the animals that could easily be found and hunted in this area.
In 1831, the Europeans had the same idea and the first village was created soon after. Now this area is a beautiful place where there are tons of cities (the main city is the county seat of Grand Rapids) and many quiet peaceful places as well. Those who are looking for Kent County public records can find those records at the Kent County Register of Deeds, and 300 Monroe Avenue NW, directly in Grand Rapids in Michigan.
