Clark County is located in the very southern tip of Nevada and contains the most popular, and populated, city in the entire state. The county seat, and the main destination of hundreds of millions of tourists every year, Las Vegas, the city that never sleeps, resides inside of this popular county. The county itself was portioned off of Lincoln County in 1908 and was named for Senator William Andrews Clark, who was responsible for the majority of the building and construction of the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad, which was the main contributor to the areas development.
There are actually a number of different gaming districts that reside in Clark County, including Boulder Strip, which ahs 33 casinos, North Las Vegas, which has 11 casinos, and the popular Las Vegas Strip, which is actually not in the city but is in the unincorporated section of Clark County.
