New Laws Open These Records to the Public Eye

In 2008, a new state law went into effect in Pennsylvania. That law made it easier to do searches of a number of different state and county records so that you could find information, both past and present without having to do a lot of leg work or jumping through legal hoops to do so. And, while the majority of these records are now open to the public, there are some restrictions meant to protect safety and security of the individual or of the public.
