Pennsylvania has a very long history attached to it, especially as it was one of the main places where a number of political things happened during our nations greatest triumphs, and its losses. When it comes to Montgomery County, this area was created around 1784, and the area that was used to create it was originally a part of what was Philadelphia County. The area, however, was turned into Montgomery County and it is believed that this area was named after Richard Montgomery, who was an American Revolutionary War general who happened to be killed a few years before the area was turned into its own county in Canada. Or, historian theorize, it may have been named after Montgomeryshire, which is a Welsh county.
Regardless of who it is named after, history has proven that Pennsylvania has a great deal for us to learn about it, which is why many people trace their roots back to the great and olden state itself. Those who are looking for Montgomery County public records will likely find what they’re looking for at the Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds, on One Montgomery Plaza, Suite 303 Swede and Airy Streets, P.O.
