Maryland Court Records

To begin, add a court record or view a list of locations and resources for Maryland court records.

Maryland court records are available for examination by residents of Maryland. However, residents cannot access large volumes of documents or other court records of Maryland at one time. Persons who wish to gain access must identify specific documents by their number or case name and list the files needed.

A request may be made for any Maryland court records however a reasonable fee may be required in order for the request to be fulfilled. It is at the discretion of the clerks and record custodians whether or not to release records and fulfill or deny request completely or partially.

Any person who wishes to view any court records of Maryland must make a written or oral request and file that request with the custodian. If the request is initially oral, the custodian may choose to continue to require a written request in conjunction with the oral request before any records can be released.
