To access a copy of the certified court record, you have to visit the Clerk's office at the court where the information is located. Copies of orders from minute books will cost you a nominal amount, and service of copying the record isn't much either. However, copies from bound volumes and copies of mandates will cost you a bit more for each page.

Apply at the Clerk's office in person, through the telephone or mail it to the office. Inform the office, why you want the record and your relationship with the party in the lawsuit. You will get the record if your argument is acceptable.

The state law in Mississippi commands that court records must be available for people. It is also the state court's policy that the official court systems are open to the interests of the people and that they remain reliable with the Mississippi Constitution. Following this, court records are sharable as far as possible.

However, not all court records can be shared with you. The information contained in some records is confidential, and these reports are thus held back. Such records include documents filed under the seal, plans about security, and records that contain information on someone's home address, social security number, and telephone number.
