Texas Court Records
To begin, add a court record or view a list of locations and resources for Texas court records.
The Texas Information Technology Task Force has concluded that every region or county which has the minimum volume needed to justify, should implement some form of a Justice Information Management System (JIMS). This system would enable the general public to access Texas court records for a specific court district in one central location or database.
Currently, though, the court records of Texas are maintained by the respective court houses in which the actions were documented. In order to access any Texas court records you will be required to either physically appear at the court house or access their court records through online methods.
There are several commercial online services which enable the public to view various court records of Texas. These are not considered official copies. The only official copies of any court records are those which have been provided by the court houses themselves. A small fee may be charged before any court records are released.
