You will find three sections for available records. The first section lists public records offenses, incidents and arrest police reports, radio and 911 logs and tapes, certified records, civil subpoena duces tecum (subpoena for production of evidences) and other records, except accident reports and their accompanying photographs.
The second section deals with public safety department records such as accident reports, citations, warning and repair orders, offense reports and photograph requests.

For employer background check, should this be part of the required documents you have to submit for employment purposes within Arizona, the department advices the concerned party to get in touch with the Applicant Team by calling (602) 223-2223. For a fingerprint clearance card, again for employment purposes, the employee should get in touch with the Applicant Clearance Card Team at phone numbers (602) 223-2279.
The department is not allowed to provide a clearance letter if a person wishes to immigrate, get a visa or provide the proper clearance for foreign adoption. Instructions on how the clearance is obtained are provided by calling the Criminal History Records Section at phone number (602) 223-2222.
A citizen of Arizona who wants to review his/her Arizona criminal record is required to complete a Record Review Instruction Packet. You can find instructions online by going to the Record Review Instruction Packet page or call (602) 223-2222. The review of personal criminal record is only allowed to check the accuracy and completeness of the record on file and to amend it if needed. A review packet can be requested from the Criminal History Records Section, phone number (602) 223-2000. It includes the instructions on how to correctly provide the fingerprints on a blank fingerprint card, a contact information sheet, as well as a pre-addressed return envelope.
An attorney may represent an individual requesting a review of his own criminal record provided the attorney submits a notarized letter of authorization from the requesting party. The response from the Section will be mailed to the requesting party as well as the copy of any existing criminal record within 15 working days after receipt of the review packet. The identity and address of the person who made the request will not be included in the mailed response.
