Criminal Backgrounds

Finding good Alabama background check resources can be hard, but it does depend on what kind of material you are looking for. Criminal records are not open to the public though you can look up someone's criminal history if you are doing so because they are a potential employee for your business. The Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center (ACJIC) is located in Montgomery and they handle all of the criminal records checks for the state. You can get the necessary paperwork from their website and it will cost $25 for each background check you perform.

Other Resources

Additional Alabama background check resources include the Department of Public Health, where you can request copies of marriage or divorce records for anyone (you do not need to be related) for a fee of $15. Birth records are not available to the public. You can also get copies of someone's past driving record from the Alabama Department of Public Safety.
