Georgia background check resources are varied, and you will have more than one avenue in order to find background information on someone. For example, you can get copies of marriage or divorce records on anyone if you send in an application to the state Vital Records office and pay the $25 search fee.
Criminal Histories
The more common Georgia background check resource is the state Bureau of Investigation. You can request criminal records from other people without their permission, providing they have been convicted of a felony. They have a specific website for this (felonsearch.ga.gov) and you can use it to search for someone's history as long as you have a credit card for the $15 search fee. You can get other criminal history records (arrests, non-felony convictions) only with the individual's permission. Businesses who wish to do background checks can also do so once they are approved by the bureau.
