Criminal Checks
You can get copies of criminal histories as a valuable Indiana background check resource, though there is a $16 fee for each search. The fee is paid via credit card on their website to use the State Police online database, and you are charged whether your search is successful or not. Their records only include felony and class A misdemeanor arrests. If you prefer not to search online, you can make a records request through the mail.
Other Types of Background Records
For a more personal Indiana background check resource, you can dig up someone's marriage or divorce records through the county clerks office where the event was registered. The main Vital Records office doesn't hold them. These can also be found at the State Library in the genealogy section (even relatively new records). Driving records are not issued to anyone except the individual themselves.
