The criminal records of the State of Delaware are located in a central repository of the Delaware State Police within the state's official website. This is where the public will find the certified criminal history and fingerprint examination. Other reports are also stored in the repository such as professional licensing, firearm purchase approvals, permits to carry concealed deadly weapons and permits to carry cards for retired Delaware troopers.
You will find the sex offender registry from the State of Delaware on the official website of the state. When you reach the page the first thing that will greet you is a warning that the information contained on the website should be used with discretion and the user has to agree to the warning before they can proceed with the search. You have to provide the information for the search, unlike in some other states where the registered sex offenders are already listed together with a picture.

How to Obtain Delaware Criminal Records
Delaware's criminal records are monitored by the Delaware State Bureau of Identification (SBI). Requesting a Delaware criminal record involves going in person to one of three approved locations to have your fingerprints taken onsite. Then, your request will be taken, and you will be asked to provide the information in person. A government-issued photo identification is needed, along with a $45 fee payable via cash, credit card, cashier check or money order.
Rights to Accessing Delaware Criminal Records
Individuals may obtain their own Delaware criminal record, but since individuals may only supply their own fingerprints, they cannot request another person's Delaware background check.
Are Appointments Necessary?
Only one of the three locations is a walk-in facility that takes requests for criminal records on a first-come, first-serve basis. The walk-in facility is located in Kent County. The other two locations are in Sussex County and New Castle County, and both require an appointment.
