Where to Find Idaho Criminal Records
The Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI) in Idaho operates the database containing Idaho criminal records. You can request a name-check search or a fingerprint search. Anyone may request their own Idaho criminal history or that of another individual.
How to Request a Name-Check Search
Anyone may request a name-based search simply by filling out a “Name-Based Criminal Background Check” form along with a check or money order for $10. This form can be mailed or dropped off at the State Police.
How to Request a Fingerprint Search
Fill out a “Fingerprint Criminal Background Check” form and submit it along with a fingerprint card and a check or money order for $10. You can have your fingerprints taken at your local law enforcement agency or at the Idaho State Police, where an additional fee of $5 will apply. On the fingerprint card, you’ll need to include as much identifying information as possible on the subject.
