Kentucky Criminal Records

Criminal records in Kentucky are available through a fee-based system and includes fast access to information on criminal convictions, felonies, misdemeanors, sex offenses and other Kentucky criminal records that are associated with a name. It is important to note that without fingerprint identification there is no clear way to ensure a true record match based solely on a name check.

Kentucky criminal records may be accessed by filing a Kentucky Criminal Case Records Request through the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives for a fee of $10 (in state) and $15 (out of state) made payable to the Kentucky State Treasurer.

Individuals requesting criminal records in Kentucky are limited to a single search at one time and must wait for the previous search to be completed before requesting any additional searches that may be required. The archives Research Room is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10:00am until 4:00pm and staff are available by phone from 8:00 - 4:00 on week days.
