The Kentucky Court of Justice Administrative Office of the Courts offers the public access to Kentucky criminal records and background checks. In person requests are handled via a drive-through window. You may also fill out a request form and mail it in. Name-based searches cost $15. The Administrative Office of the Courts also offers an online database called AcuFastCheck, where you receive an email when results are ready.

Fill out the request form and send it, along with a certified check or money order of $15, to the Administrative Office of the Courts. You could also use the drive-in service if you live locally in or near the court office in Frankfort.

If you would like to access Kentucky arrest records, then the fastest and easiest way to do so is through the KOOL system. KOOL (Kentucky Offender Online Lookup) is managed by the Kentucky Department of Corrections and provides the public with information about offenders currently in the system.
Step 1: Go online to the Kentucky Department of Corrections site and access the Kentucky Offender Online Lookup system.
Step 2: Fill in the fields with the information for your search. To search with more details, use the Advanced Search option. Hit the Search button at the top of the page to begin the search.
Step 3: Results will be displayed in alphabetical order. Click on the number of the result to see the full record.
