Utah is a closed-record state, which means, individuals can't access criminal history records other than their own. Access to criminal history records, therefore, is limited. Yet, Utah makes accessing personal criminal history record very easy. There are two ways to do this; you need to apply either through mail or in person.
If applying through mail, you have to complete the Criminal History Record Application form, which can be downloaded from the website. Send the form to:

If applying in person, visit the address above any time from 7 am to 6 pm. Requests are accepted between Monday and Thursday. A government-issued photo ID is required.
The application costs $15, which can be paid with a personal check, cashier's check, or money order. Credit card payment is also accepted. Cash is only accepted with in-person applications.
If you want your criminal history record to be delivered to a third party, you have to fill out the Third Party Release Form, with the name of the person or agency that you authorize to receive the record. Send the form to the address above.
Still, there are exceptions to the closed-record rule. If you are employed in an entity that involves children, vulnerable individuals, fiduciary funds, national security, and statutory authority, your employer is eligible to access your criminal history record.
Applications to obtain criminal history records is facilitated by the Utah Department of Public Safety.
The Utah Department of Corrections (UDC), meanwhile, operates offender searches. This service allows you to access information on offenders, their status, location, and other details. The search can be done using either offender's full name or offender number.

On the UDC website, you will find the Sex and Kidnap Offender Registry. The search can be done by area, name, and city.
Aside from the Sex and Kidnap Offender Registry, UDC website also has a list of Utah's Most Wanted. Fugitives' mug shots and information are provided.
You can find criminal records from the Division Archives and Records Service. The criminal records came from different resources and are put together for research purposes. Step 2.
Fill out the request form and then take it to the closest law enforcement agency to take your fingerprints. Make sure to present government-issued photo identification.

Mail the completed form with a $10 fee paid by credit card, certified check or money order, or drop off the form in person and present photo ID.

To use the free search, you will need to do the following:

Where to Locate and View Utah Criminal Records
The Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI) operates the criminal record database for the state. They accept in-person requests or mailed requests for criminal records. The fee is $10 payable by credit card, certified check or money order. A request form must be filled out and then taken to local law enforcement for fingerprinting. Afterwards, the completed request may be mailed or remitted in person.
Can Anyone View Utah Criminal Records?
