The Wyoming State Statutes 7-19-101 through 7-19-109 govern the gathering, maintenance, use, and distribution of the Wyoming criminal records. The Wyoming Criminal History Record Act regulates the criminal records in Wyoming and is very clear on who, what, when, and where these records can be accessed.
There is also a way for individuals to research their own criminal records in Wyoming. By going to the website, http://attorneygeneral.state.wy.us/dci/chc.html, a person can have all their questions answered on how to access the Wyoming criminal records and what they need to expedite the process of retrieving them. They will also find out where to get them and what information they will be able to request. An individual can also make a request to have their criminal records deleted from the State archives, but this is a difficult process and few are able to have it done.
