About Maine Marriage Records
Vital records in the state of Maine are maintained by the Vital Records office, which is a department within the Division of Public Health Systems. All vital records, including marriage records, have been collected and recorded since 1892. However, only records from 1923 to the present are maintained in the Vital Records office. All records from 1892 to 1922 are housed at the Main State Archives.
